Octy Vrs front drop link issues

Featured Replies

Just a quicky... Havin replaced the front struts/springs/ball joints and top mounts i had a one more clunk to get rid of. Turns out to be the drop link bottom ball joint where it is joined to the anti roll bar. Anyway got some new links today but can anyone tell me if the ball joint should be a snug fir in the anti roll bar or not? either the anti roll bar hole is worn or the links aint right. I know when tightened up there should be no movement but just wondered if anyone had come across the same issue?

If you are referring to the threaded bit at the ball joint end that goes through the ARB, then this is not a snug fit and only when tightened up using something like a spanner to hold the ball joint from turning and then tighten up nut will it be suficently tight. Some after market drop links do have slightly thinner threads than OEM ones but are still ok.
