finish to the FL vRS steering wheel

Featured Replies

Hi all, I am starting to notice some bobbling or lumpyness on the back/top of my vRS wheel, where the leather is smooth. Its as if something has been clamped or was resting on it. I tried heating it up with a hair dryer today to see if it made a differance which it did'nt.

It was there when I picked the car up last month, but used it much since, gone out today (first time for a few days) and it really bugged me. Its going back in this week for a few things to be done, I am tempted to ask for a replacement wheel. Anyone else got this?

I'll check my new one on Saturday.

No issues with mine it's as smooth as a leather steering wheel is ever likely to get on the outside. Inside of course there is stitching.

Same here - after reading your thread I checked mine on way into work - lovely and smooth - I would get it back to the dealers for a replacement !

I've asked them to look at it and i can only imagine a replacement is the answer. Not sure how willing they will be though.

No problems with mine either. Best to bring up trim problems with the dealer as soon as possible.

They said it varies and its a natural product so the finish can vary. So will live with it.
