Connects2 auxiliary input adapter

Featured Replies

Hi,

I will be fitting my Connects2 aux-in adapter to my Fabia vRS in the next couple of days. Has anyone got any advice on where the best place to feed the 3.5mm lead through would be? My MP3 player will be mounted on the vent above the head unit. Basically, i need to know if any drilling will be necessary! :)

Thanks.

When you've got the stereo out put your hand in the void and feel about above the stereo housing there's a natural shelf above the stereo and behind the switch blanks!

Wedge the box in there, I'd recommend getting a longer Phono-3.5mm Jack cable

Mines lives in behind the three blanks to the left of the ESP button!

Then drill a hole in the cubby box to feed the cable through.

An update ...... I managed to feed the cable through without drilling by pushing the plastic back under the vent controls. If anyone wants a pic of this let me know and i will post. It will probably be more useful for those with vent mounted Ipods (etc) or those who dont want to drill - not as tidy as Mike B's example above though. Great advice from Mike B above about the "three blanks to the left of the ESP button". The box squeezes in the nicely. Also, I bought a metre long cable which is just long enough to reach my vent mounted Iphone (and I mean just!) - in hindsight a slightly longer cable would have been better, but it does reach.
