Light dimmer switch

I need to get to the loom at the back of the dash-light dimming switch, as part of my w8 fit. I know how to remove the main headlight switch, but as yet have not removed much more from that area.

Have removed the fusebox cover, and the cover above it, but that does not seem to give me any real access from the side. I noticed the main fuse assembly was held in with 2 screws, but I am skeptical that undoing those will help - givem the mass of wires behind it, I can't imagine it being very "moveable".

Any hints most welcome.
