Service Interval Display

Featured Replies

Hi again,

Just wondered, does every Octavia have a service interval display?

I've never noticed it on my 2006 vRS TFSI.

If so is there something I need to press on the trip computer stalk to see it?

I have the basic onboard computer display but no maxidot.

Ignition on, engine off, press and hold the trip reset button until the mileage/number of days to next service comes up.

Thanks,

The car says 8500, then after a few seconds, 348. I presume these are miles and days?

This gives me a new problem - my service book suggests it's due (2 years from 1st service) early March this year.

I've only had the car for 4 or 5 months, and it was purchased from a Skoda main dealer.

Who do I trust? My service history or the car's interval display?

Thanks,

Andrew

If an FL, you twist the button not press it. Pressing it resets the service interval to fixed.

A member with VCDS can correct and check for you.

Mine's not facelift, it's a 2006.

What should I do? Wait another 8.5k/1 year as per the car's recommendations, or go by the service book and get it done in March?

If I go by the car's service display, it will be 3 years between services?!

The only way to go 3yrs is that you've reset it previously when the service was almost due.

Check your service book for the QGC code, and service accordingly on mileage or time if the car's data has been messed up.
