I cant get over how many error codes i have on my octy, it all started this morning when the car was idling rough and yet again thick white smoke from the exhaust...These are what has been found...

00532 Transmission modual relay supply voltage B+ Malfunction

16514 02 Sensor circuit malfunction bank 1 sensor 1

16500 Engine coolant temp circuit range/performance problem

16522 02 sensor circuit high voltage bank 1 sensor 2

16688 Cylinder 4 missfire detected

16556 Fuel trim system rich bank 1

The other codes are 17549 and an airbag fault giving the code 17526

I am really really getting fed up with this car now its becoming a joke and i am stuck what to do nexy in other words is all this indicating a serious issue or is something fixable.

Forgot to say, The codes were cleared but the engine ones came back, only the airbag one stayed off

I know it was this is what is doing my nut in, I am going to get it pressure testing at the end of the week to see if/or where the weaknesses are. Just never had so many codes before.

ok 1) is it an automatic?

2) to have a sudden fault with both lambda sensors is very strange. maybe check the earths by the battery for a start

the temp range one is because it has not got as warm as it expected to/thermostat or sensor (you may even have an electric stat on yours depending how unlucky you are lol)

try all the fuses first as thats the easy bit. also will chuck out lots of white smoke/steam if its running really rich (maybe due to the lambda or temp sensor faults)

in the vagcom measuring blocks does the engine temp look about right or too cold. (tomorrow morn compare against the air temp on dash and or the inlet air temp before starting

should be similar readings

It was definatley a manual, I wonder if someone has fitted an ecu at somepoint from an automatic car, but from the same spec of car. Now im confused lol

Coilpack in cylinder 4 gone? Swap it with another cylinder and see if the fault moves to that cylinder?

Edit: Just realised it is a 1.6, so not sure the same applies
