Koni Lowering Springs

Featured Replies

Hello,

Apologies in advance if this is in the wrong section, still working my way round the site!

I have found some Koni Lowering Springs (35mm) for my Fabia vRS.

Are these a good make and would i have to upgrade the shocks etc if i were to fit them

Thank you in advance,

Chris

I do not know the Fabia but Koni are a respected make, re the shocks a general rule is that if they are more than 3 years old they should be replaced, suggest comparable Koni shocks to match the springs

Your car will look roughly like this with the Koni springs:

I wouldn't necessarily rush out to replace the shocks themselves - IME mileage is more important than age. I had new shocks on my 5YO Fabia after 80k miles (the springs and shocks are an STR.T kit), but my wife's 65k 8YO Fabia is still fine on the original shocks...

My fabia has only done 17,000 so the shocks should be fine.

So i should be ok with the Koni Springs yeh? (there are some on ebay i was going to buy thats all).

Will it make the ride crashy or are they not too bad.

Thanks for the replies.

They will work with the standard shock absorbers, if that's what you're asking...
