Used Car Prices and Mileage Adjustment

Featured Replies

Has anyone got any idea how trade sellers adjust used car prices to take mileage into account.

I seem to remember a method from way back (maybe from Parkers guides etc) that went along the lines of giving a used price for a car of average miles - say 10k a year.

Then they added a percentage for every 1000 miles below this, or deducted the same percentage for a car with above average miles.

Is this system still used, and what percentage per 1000 miles do they work on?
