Connects2 and Symphony

Featured Replies

Can someone who has this set up let me know how to use it :(

Let's say for instance the radio is playing and I want to play an album off the iPod. Do I get the album started then press the "CD" button?

Doesn't always work, I sometimes have to press one of the multichanger buttons to hear the iPod, then all the playlists are out of order.

If I press CD1 for playlist 1 then press CD6 for playlist 6 it can get in a muddle and just keep restarting and playing playlist 1 no matter which CD button I press. Or it plays the playlists but not using the correct button number.

Without trying it all again I can't just remember the way it buggers up the playlists.

It isn't as easy to use as I expected it to be.

Once the playlists are in order it's easy to just use the CD buttons to listen to playlists, it's listening to something else that I can't figure out.

There's a dearth of instructions with this unit, just the very basics.

All these Connects2 owners and no one knows? :(

Added to this. Pressing CD1 will play playlist 1, CD2 playlist 2, however sometimes pressing CD3 will play playlist 1 then whichever CD button I press just plays the next numbered playlist. :'(

Right then just in case anyone tries a search - E-Mail from Connects2

"Hi,

The display does not correspond to the playlist, as the original head unit was not originally designed for an iPod input.

The preset buttons on the front of the head unit allow control of playlist up/down sequentially. Whichever disc number is shown the display, the button either side of it will take you up or down a playlist respectively. For example, if the display shows CD2, pushing preset 3 will take you up a playlist and preset 1 will take you down a playlist.

Thank you"

So I guess if you're playing Playlist 3 and then press button CD6 - Playlist 4 will play, and then if you press button CD2 - Playlist 3 will play :S

Interesting however I never use playlists
