Fitting Alpine swe-1000 sub, Power Cable Issues!

Featured Replies

Hi, i knew it wouldnt be easy fitting a new headunit and sub to my fab but ive been at it all day and have got the HU in (just) and routed the RCAs, remote and Control cable (for sub control up front) but the power cable beat me. Ive searched on here and have heard about this magical grommit behind the glovebox. ill be honest, i cant see f**k all behind there, just made fitting the rcas etc easier. So does anyone have some pictures or can step by step guide me on what to do because i hate being beaten by something so trivial and i want some bass! the power cable is reletavely thin if this makes any difference.

Thanks in advance!!

not sure if this will help, but if its like the octavia there is a plastic conduit which runs from the battery, under the airbox and through the firewall/bullkhead area though I have not installed onto these models myself but removed someone elses mod when I bought my car. Might be easier to start under the bonnet, stick a long tie wrap through and find it from the inside
