Hi all

I've seen postings relating to workshop manuals for an Octavia 2. Shortly after getting my Ambienti FSi 1.6 petrol Octavia I contacted Haynes. They said that they had no plans for a manual for the Octavia 2 nor for a re-issue of the Octavia 1 with a suppliment. However, they did say that the Octavia 1 manual covers the 1.6 petrol engine in my car.

I've also seen comments that th VW Golf mk5 is vertually identical to the Octavia 2 and that the Golf manual is OK for Octavia 2 owners. Has anyone purchased such a manual and care to comment?

They are talking bull hear the mk1 has very little in conman with the mk2, it is totaly new plantform the mk2 is. The engines bar 1.9tdi are all new!

Now a golf mk5 one yes this will be 75% same so go with that
