Quick question, is the ride height different on a Octavia mk1 Vrs between the front and back? reason for asking is I have just had two new springs put on the front of my car and there is a 20mm difference between the front and the back, is this normal as I've got it in my head they have put the wrong ones on after repeatedly telling them that they are different between standard Octavia and the vrs, even gave the them the product code -1J0 411 105 AJ (1 Violet + 4 Yellow

I think he means that the front is 20mm higher than the back!

20mm sounds like a lot so I'd double check what springs are fitted. You might be able to see the coloured dots on the coils through the wheels, or by poking a camera behind the wheel and getting a snap of the spring. If not then pop a wheel off.

The new springs will obviously have a greater working height than your old tired ones, so it may just be that.

If the springs are correct, and you're still not happy with having a car with a saggy bottom, then get some new rear springs fitted too. The rear springs only take about 30mins to change so should be a cheap job if you're going to a garage.

Cheers, going to let them bed in a little first plus like you say, replace the rear ones as they are a lot easier to change.

Questioned the garage about the coloured dots and they told me that the springs are just black but they put they against my old ones and they are/where the same size. :wonder:
