Featured Replies

has anybody fitted one of these kits to a new octavia,if so what are these like and what make did you buy,ive a new octavia vrs coming and iam looking to fit a hid kit but iam unsure of what kit to buy,any help would be great in this matter

Theres been various discussions, all over the net, regarding aftermarket HIDs. Most people seem to think they're pretty decent but you need to bear in mind that they are technically illegal for street use.

As long as you dont go mad with the K value of the kit you should be OK. OEM kits are 4300K for your reference.

Bear in mind your car can tell if one of it's halogen headlight bulbs goes pop. Fitting some aftermarket kits can also trigger this bulb failure. Make sure the kit is CAN-BUS compatible or the HID lamps will go off after a few seconds.

There are lots of threads on this one - search 'aftermarket HIDs' and you'll get loads of info about kits, fitment and the legal 'greyness' of it all :smirk:
