i'm looking into getting one from doctor derv for £1100 fitted and looking around 215 - 230 bhp

if anydbody has this how much did you pay? who did it? what were the gains and what else is fitted to your car?

I HAVE DONE A FAIR AMOUNT OF research into this and found alot of info in the golf/ leon forums

after speaking to doctor derv today he has now said he will the work for £1000 which is hybrid turbo exchange all fitted and ecu remapped to suit. so i think this is not really that bad.

i would like 220bhp with no smoke. i know ill have to get the uprated clutch to.

but im looking forward to this mod and yeh thats all really lol ill keep posted as said

That's not a bad price, but ask which turbo it is (i.e AFTER the hybrid treatment) and then post it here so we can say whether it's good enough for you.

on the PD130 turbos (gt1749v) the "49" is generally increased to "56" by fitting larger gubbins inside the turbo housing. So they call it a 1756

Thats interesting to know. I just need advise really on this subject, people who are in the know.

The turbo is from turbo dynamics and they only offer one turbo for the 2.0tdi which is a stage one. Although they 1.9tdi pd have a stage 2 im guessing its enough with the stage one for the 2.0tdi ill check the td website and get the code for you.

Is there much difference between the PD140 and the PD170 turbo's?
