trip computer problem

Featured Replies

Right, err yes the trip computer which i believe it is called, the bit on the end of the right stork that you press that shud tell me my mpg trip etc etc.

If I press it Im assuming it should do something?? (octavia 1.9tdi 2000)

it doesnt.

all I can see is my current trip distance and my overrall milage I cannot access anything else. What could be the problem??? can it be fixed?? easily?

Hope that makes some sense!

Cheers for any help.

Simon

I assume you realise it is not a single button but has an up and a down. Try both. If only one function works you can still get all the readings as they are displayed in a loop (one value for each press). Try the button on the underside of the switch. This should change from between sets of values or reset the current set if held in.

If none of the three functions work, it is likely to be a fault in the right column switch or the brown/white wire in the loom from the right column switch.
