Looking for rear Wiper repair kit

Featured Replies

If anyone has screen wash water in the boot, the pipe has come off the connection to the motor drive body or the pipe up the centre of the wiper spindle has snapped.

A repair kit is available for this from VW.

Part No 8L0998711

It fixed my four year old Fabia rear wiper leak

It cost me 30 and an hour or so of my time, which seemed better than 76 pounds for a complete unit.

Hi,

The local VW dealer tells me this part number won't fit on the Octavia! And I'm sure there's cheaper places to get it from too.

Any ideas on alternative sources for this? Might just visit the local scrapyard to see if they have anything!

Cheers,

Martin

funny that. iam selling a complete rear wiper motor from an octy in the for sale section. might be worth a look.

Hi I think you are right about that repair kit for the fabia. I gave up repairing my octy rear wiper as could not find a kit and already had a few goes at a temporary fix that only lasted a few weeks. I bought a second hand one ( a risk as could be as bad as the one i had) for £40 and has worked fine since. New ones do seem a little expensive.

Hi,

I've put a message in that thread. Thanks,
