Mk1 vRS Part Numbers for brake discs and pads all round?

Featured Replies

Hi guys, my brake discs and pads will need replacing at the next service which is due shortly.

I need the exact OEM part numbers for the front discs, front pads, rear discs and rear pads that are relevant to my car..

My car is a mk1 Octavia vRS 02 plate.

I am abit confused as i came across a seller on ebay who was selling front discs but had this in the description:-

THIS PART DOES NOT FIT ALL VERSIONS OF THIS CAR!

Also could you please advise me of the best place to order the OEM full discs and pads from?

Many Thanks.

I will PM you later with a place to get them for less than £240 for genuine parts.

The seller probably meant you can't put them on non VRS Mk1 Octavias as the VRS has larger front discs and calipers.

The part numbers you want are

Front

Pads 8N0698151A x 2 pairs

Discs 8N0615301A x 2

Rear

Pads 1J0698451C x 2 pairs

Discs 8N0615601B x 2

I think that lot comes to something like £250 not including VAT from a dealer :S

Ask Bond007 about getting them through TPS, they are cheaper than buying them from a dealer.

You can buy Mintex off of ebay as well which are cheaper than OEM but my they seem to rust to f**k within a few months of fitting them :(

Has anyone tried the parts for sale from Jorily Skoda parts? How do they compare to the OEM stock for wear/quality?

front disks 8N0 615 301 A obviously x2

front pads 1J0 698 151 M

rear disks 8N0 615 601 B x2

rear pads 1J0 698 451 K

you can ask jorily to price genuine ones up and i know he will do them cheaper than going straight to the dealers because obviously he'll get discount and pass this onto his customer, i know his supplier very well :giggle:

Hi guys,

Ill stick my 10 pence worth in here i think lol... Ive just replaced the front discs and pads on mine at a cost of £90 ish. Got them from ECP with a little cheeky bit of trade discount but they are Pagid anti corrosion discs and Pagid pads. They are the OEM supliers for some VAG applications but without the VAG markings on them. Have to say they feel great after bedding in compared to a set of TRW ones I had on before. The TRW set went all black and corroded with a sniff of H2O on them. Upto now after a month the Pagid set are shiny new, no black markings and no corrosion. They Deffo get my thumbs up for standard replacement.
