My New Elegance

Three long test drives and lots of emails and reading everything related that I could find, I have now actually

ordered my new car.

This is the ordering spec :-

Skoda Octavia Elegance 1.4 TSI 122bhp DSG. Colour Candy White

Complete with the following options:-

1. Electric memory drivers seat and electrically adjustable,

heated and foldable door mirrors with auto dimming

and memory function.

2. 3 spoke multi-function steering wheel for radio,

Maxi-dot and paddle shift

3. Light assistance.

4. Full size spare wheel.

5. Interior floor mats.

6. Door sill covers – Octavia logo

7. Front mud flaps.

8. Plastic boot dish.

9. Boot netting system.

All the above OTR - including delivery/VAT and 12 Months RFL £14,548.00

Price build up - Basic car ( List £16,645 ) £13412 - including VAT tax break £2377.00 total =£3233.00

Options 1-9 above ( list £1242.00 ) + 12 months RFL for £1136.00

The only thing that hacked me off was ordering the Item 1. option

I needed to have the power folding mirrors and this was the only way available to get them on a new order.

So I pushed for an extra discount to off set the price increase and got it.

Overall I am very happy with the outcome.

I did all the usual dealer look ups for price comparisons and in the end settled to order with

I can endorse what has been already said about Rainworth and in particular Jeremy.

Friendly efficient and fires straight from the hip. But make sure your gun in loaded first.

I will report, for the benefit of members, when I have taken delivery and let you know how things went.

Now all I have to do is wait 12 weeks for delivery

Anything worth having is worth waiting for.
