Replacing a clutch master cylinder

Featured Replies

Hi,

The master clutch cylinder on my 2001 Octy 1.8T has seized, and managed to break the clip holding the clutch pedal onto it.

Looking at my trusty Haynes, it looks like it should only be 2 hours or so to take the pedal off, replace the cylinder, fit a new clip and get the pedal back on. Does that sound about right?

Any tips or things to look out for, extra parts I should order along with the cylinder and plastic clip?

Hopefully it won't waste too much of Saturday ;-)
