Has anyone fitted the above Coilover kit to a MK1 Octavia (non VRS) ?

I've just purhcased this kit, arrived yesterday... however the box has MKIV Golf stamped on the side! Although I know they are the same front set-up.. I'm a bit concerned about the rears! Was wondering if anyone else had had the same or similar experience!?

I've e-mailed the seller via e-bay, as the auction definitley stipulates they are for an Octavia 1U, so I'll post up a reply when I get one.

Hmmm... thought as much... still no response... fingers crossed they've put the right rear springs as they were packaged seperately within the box. Wonder if there are load ratings marked on the springs??? Will have to check when I get home if I haven't heard owt!

I can confirm, for anyone else that is interested, that these coilovers really are QUITE good.... I've dropped the old TDI around 50mm at the front and 45mm at the rear... and the general ride is hardly changed from with standard... you can feel that it is stiffer... and it corners like it's on rails!

And as for looks.. well, I'm more than satisfied... a photo or two will follow!

So did they confirm that the springs in the kit were correct then?

Coilies dont tend to require different springs as they are that much stiffer and tougher than shocks and springs anyways

Yes they do, hence why different cars have different spring rates, fitting golf coilovers to an octavia for example is not a good idea even though physically it will fit!
