Boot lid sensor

Folks,

I've got a 06 Octavia Vrs FSI 2.0.. problem is my boot lights don't come on and the central locking comes on after about 60 seconds if the boot is open. Consequently if its dark and I've got to get stuff out the boot.. it takes ages and the alarm goes off.

Any ideas on the problem? I've checked the fuses and I can't really spot anything.. any ideas?

I do need to change my lovely (but aged) 2010 Fabia 1.6tdi so went looking for a year old 1.5tsi DSG SEL, found a nice one at a local dealer but when looking at the finance side of things, it worked out similar to buy a brand new one (via Carwow prices) due to the Skoda contribution and the lower APR on a PCP. So here i am, about to order a Smokey Silver 1.5tsi DSG SEL, but i have never ordered a new car before so am a bit ' giddy ' on what to add in options..... The spare wheel is a given and f

We are currently travelling in France after purchasing our Superb Sportline IV last month. We were lowering the passenger front window which went all the way to the bottom, accompanied by a horrible clattering. That was it stuck down, any attempts to raise it just produced the rattling. Luckily it was in the middle of a heatwave. Took the door card off and motor but can only lift the window up 2" to try to get to the clamps. There's a cable with a nipple visible loose inside the door by the locking button which is draped over a pulley (see photo, sorry about the socks). Any suggesti

Hi.... Just a bit of as heads up.... I got in my Superb 1.4 TSi 2018 (50,000 miles) on Friday night and the engine started making an almighty rattling / clattering / knocking noise. When I took it to a local indy garage the next day they said it sounds exactly like another Skoda they had in the previous week. The one they looked at before wasn't a Superb (can't remember which model they said), but it had done similar relatively low mileage and a bolt was loose at the camshaft p
