New Member Help. Removing CD's From a Changer

Please can anyone suggest how to get the CD magazine out of the Octavia VRs changer. My changer has stopped working probably due to the washer pipe parting & soaking everything which I believe is a common problem . The radio works fine but does not seem to register the changer at all If I press the CD button on the HU nothing happens no fault nothing. The magazine of CD's still stuck in the changer & have a new Octavia on order which I should get in about 4 weeks & would like to take the CDs to the new car. I would be grateful if any of you knowlegeable people can help.

removing it and dismantling it is the only way I think, assuming of course that it's not just a case of a dodgy connection that has got wet. You could try removing it and putting it somewhere warm, like an airing cupboard, to dry it out for a few days then reconnecting it.
