Nelly Has Gone!

Featured Replies

So then folks.

I've just watched Nelly being driven away on the back of a trailer by the new owner.

So keep a look out for her on her way to Bournemouth!

Fair well Nelly! And good luck in your new life!

Phil

I know how you feel...its hard letting go. Just think of all the good times you had :'( thats what I did the night our timmy was driven away.

it must be some old fart then :wonder:

Sad she’s gone, but happy it’s to a new home :)

Lol Tom. I'm sure the member who has bought her will be happy to hear you say that!

And yes I'm glad she's gone to a new home and to someone who will give her the time she needs!

My first felly (and first car) will be going soon as well, but to the scrappys as there is too much rust and other faults that are too expensive to fix :( . I've been holding onto it since august so it will be sad to see it go. It gave me 5 years of driving pleasure

I had a Felly and a Favorit.

Great little cars.

I miss the little Favorit though. I'm still annoyed a leaky sunroof put paid to my ownership but i'm hoping her new owner gets this fixed and she'll provide sterling service.

What you getting now Phil.

Also whats reflective and projective lights?

Not getting anything to replace her as we can cope with one car in the household.

Driving the Peugeot 306 1.9D we have part time now.

Projector lights have the light 'focused' through a lens like this:

And reflector lights just reflect the light out from the rear silver part of the light:

hmm, let me think... i bet he has one of those straw hats with the corks hanging down and plays the banjo :smirk:

whoever it is will hopefully abuse it to within an inch of it's death

He did have to before he even took it away as the rear brakes had stuck on and they took some shifting!

I'm sure he will enjoy the car as much as I have and he hopes to have the time/energy to do some restoration to her.

Phil

OH! I feel like a n00b

After having it explained....it sounds self explanitory

Any mods for the Peugeot planned then

Glad to hear she avoided being broken up Phil

Skospares are down in b'mouth as is matchams banger racing circuit.

I would hope that the new owner cares a bit more about it than that mind.

Lol. Yeh you noob! :giggle:

And not really... unless you can turn the fuel pump on these things. Think it's a lucas derv pump on there. Would smoke like a buggar probably! I quite fancy getting the cat off it and putting a straight through pipe in seen as though it isn't required for the MOT etc.

I've already fitted remote central locking to it as it didn't have it with it being the base model 'L' and already started re-newing the stock speakers to improve the sound a bit.

Glad to hear she avoided being broken up Phil

Steve

And yes so am I steve as it would have been a shame to break her and also a bit time consuming and faffy!

Where was your rust, I have a 2000 Felicia and think it's fairly rust free, so would like to know where to keep my eye on. :S

All four wheel arches had serious rust on them (one of the front wings was nearly completely rusted), there was some under the rear numberplate and a bit on the sills i think. It was a1996 felly and i had a few parking related incidents in my first year of owning the car, which scraped a bit of paint off, which didnt help the situation. I have a 1999 felicia now and that is rust free as well, although i shall be keeping a closer eye on this one, mainly the arches, which i think can be common on fellys

Ah, I thought you meant the 1999 Felicia as in your details. I've had a good look around mine and no rust at all really, although the somewhat pristine paint is all the better for some respray in the past I notice. The rear arches have been touched up, but have no filler at all and you would not notice if it wasn't for the fact the paintshop were too lazy to spray under the arch lip, which will face the grit and **** that the road chucks up. I will touch this up myself when the weather settles as it is a common rust spot, as you say.
