Tootled off to middlewich this afternoon for a stage 1 remap with more-bhp, met up with jason and he checked for fault codes and went under the bonnet to check the breather pipes, found one with a split so i need to get that done, few other mods done to car Blueflame cat back, FMIC, CAI, Bailey DV etc.

Took the car out, foot to the floor all the way in second so he could get some figures, then it was back to base for the software upload.

Went out again after software was loaded on and the transformation is incredible, pulls right through the rev range at 15psi, very progressive map, no spikes or dips in power, very sweet.

Far better than the superchips remap on a previous Octy, more progressive but much quicker.

Would deffo use them again, very helpfull and very good generic map :thumbup:

Another member local to me has got a More-BHP generic remap on his VRS (the £99 postal one) and also very satisfied with it. Jason seems to be very customer focused, he even offered to come all the way down to Kent with a spare ECU when we thought the ECU had gone up the creek (turns out we'd pulled out a fuse before re-fitting the ECU LOL)

After another days driving, cant beleive how different than the superchips map this is, much more driveability and much more power overall. Had a play today with another silver mk1 that was up my arse pulling out of slip road (private road of course) , he stayed with me for about 1 second until mine came on boost and within 10 seconds he was a blip in the rear view.

Noticed as well initially its up to 17psi and settles back to 15psi at full throttle, i drive rather sedately most of the time but nice to know you have the power in the locker if you need it, car seems to be getting a little more powerfull each time i drive it, may try it on 98 fuel next time i fill up see what difference it makes if any :wonder:

It would make a difference if it was mapped for 98. When I had my map done they asked what fuel I used and I said conservatively that I use 97 RON because whilst I always use super I can't always get to somewhere that sells 99.

A remap makes it the car that should have left the factory. Had mine remapped nearly two years ago and at times it still amazes me how quick it jumps forward but still want a K04.
