Air Conditioning

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

Nice weather today , so I switched the A/C on for the first time in donkey's, and found it is making a "whooshy", loudish, kind of fan noise that it never used to do, and the air didnt seem any colder!

Any ideas how I can fix it?

(apologies for the poor description!)

Cheers

Graeme

I think places like F1 autocenters etc do free health checks on aircon (not sure if there is a compulsary follow up or not though!) so it might just be worth taking it down to somewhere like that, see what they say?

Also, kwick fit were doing a deal on re-gassing where you pay nothing if it's not X amount colder after being done, so maybe worth seeing there website as if it's not in need of a regas then you won't (in thoery) of lost anything.

Sorry I can't help more, never really had any dealings with aircon before!

Mine has just done the same, turn it on and it makes some strange noises when the engine revs are low. It's working but not as efficiently I'm sure (only re-gassed last year). However I'm no help as I don't know what the noise is caused by either
