Heated washer jets

Featured Replies

Does somebody know whether the FL Octavia estate L&K (2009) is equipped with heated front screen washer jets?

Or is there a way to find out?

Thank for any help in advance :-)

I think it's by looking at the size of the washer bottle.

3Ltr - Standard washers

5Ltrs - Heated Washers + Headlight Washers.

I've got a 2009 FL Elegance. No heated nozzles but headlight washers.

I thought none of the UK spec MK II Octy come with heated jets.

No Octavias have them..Indeed no UK Skoda as far as I know.

Sorry

I paid 26 Euro for (9T1) Heated windshield washer nozzles for my upcoming Scout.

They did come on the MK I in the UK on the elegance & L&K but not on the MK II.

IIRC they can be purchased for about £20 each and then it would just be a case of having them wired to the correct place if you really felt you needed them.

I'm struggling to see the point of heated jets. As long as you use decent screenwash in the correct concentration for winter use you will never see them freeze!

As well as not freezing up, hot water cleans the windscreen better than cold.

Years and years ago, Holts used to sell a product where you tapped a small reservoir into a heater hose and washer jets, and then fixed it near the engine, the difference beteween and hot and cold water was really noticeable.
