The little ticket clip on the windscreen

Featured Replies

On our RHD Australian cars it's on the drivers side which is a bit og a problem because when parallel parking tickets need to be left of the kerb (passenger) side of the dash board.

Is the clip on the drivers side of LHD cars? If so I assume that if I ever need to replace the windscreen I could probabaly retrofit a clip to the left side of the car at the same time.

If I recall correctly, its just screwed on to the A pillar under the trim/airbag, should be a relatively easy to to retrofit/move no need for glass removal

If your windscreen ever gets replaced, they'll probably break that little clip anyway!

Just after I bought my car 2nd hand, the screen got cracked by a large stone, as the screen lifted out, the already broken clip was glued to it! Fitter noticed that there were marks and glue lines from a previous windscreen replacement.

Just last week the clip fell out after 2 years of just being push fitted into place.

The clips are pretty cheap, about 75p (not much over A$1). The dealer said that you only had to lever the A pillar trim off to fit, although I was a bit wary of doing this.

In fact they ended up fitted the clip for nothing when I was in the garage for something else (in fact they originally gave me the clip for free as well!).

Another positive for Simpsons of Preston's service guys.

I have not started on the application yet, although I have found some java based ID3 Tag readers, so you might be lucky.

Would no doubt also have an option of creating a single random playlist for the SD too.
