was giving my engine bay a clean over the weekend and i spotted this..

Whats the Box and plug? (the cable was unplugged from the box)

also anywhere know where this aircon pipe is supposed to plug into? (i cant see where its supposed to go :S)

its hanging down on the passengerside just under the battery area

Do you mean the little box above the plug and under the bleed cap for the climate control pipe in the picture or the bigger one to the right?

The bigger one to the right is a housing for some relays. I'm not sure what the little box is I don't think I have one there, it looks like it could possibly be a siren for an aftermarket car alarm though

iv left it unplugged for the moment as i didnt know what it does or if it was disconnected for a reason

I shall trace the wiring back and see where it leads too

yep the first pick is of an aftermarket alarm box and the second pic is of aircon pipe that goes onto the compressor( or the cannister on the air cone rad)

the pipe is coming from the compressor so you may be right about the cannister on the rad....will have a gander tonight

I take it your air con doesn't work then?

Given its location tucked up around the power steering pipe work in front of the box, it is supposed to connect to the heat exchanger on the near side. It looks pretty mucky and corroded so been off for a while I'd guess.
