2010 Skoda Laura Driver side window won't close

Featured Replies

Hello everyone, I recently bought a brand new 2010 Skoda Laura (which is basically Octavia II in Europe). It has only done 1500kms and is already showing some issue which is that the driver side power window won’t close. Every time, I try to close the window it goes half the way up then automatically comes down again. It keeps on doing same thing no matter how much I try until the one touch auto up deactivates. Even when closing manually it gets stuck half the way and I have to re- pull the switch to close it fully. Shouldn’t it be going up smoothly without being stuck on the halfway while doing manually? I’ve no problem with one touch auto down though. Do I have defective parts? Please any suggestion would be great.

Check the runners for the window. There is likely to be something very small causing the window to 'think' there is an obstruction. Its a safety feature.
