Hi Guys

I have an octavia VRs MK 1 .... does anyone know how to remove the centre console by the handbrake?

The ashtray doesn't seem to pop out :|

You have to remove the rear ashtray, get a flat bladed screwdriver under the edges if its being difficult.

Then there are two bolts underneath the ashtray mounting, undo those and then slide the console off of the handbrake, removing the plug for the cigarette lighter at the same time

I was strugling with that a week ago... Just pulled upwards quite hard. I assume youre talking about 'ashtrayholder/cupholder' , not ashtray itself?

edit: middle armrest must be removed first(?), if you have one
