Any chance it may be sooner ?

Featured Replies

Scout ordered at the weekend. 1.8Tsi. I'm expecting a 12-14 week best case or 14-16 worse case for delivery. I've seen a few posts with factory orders coming through after 9-10 weeks.

What are the chances I could be this lucky ? Could it be even longer than 16 weeks ?

Cheers

Looks like my VRS is going to be just over 13 weeks but I was also told the other day that there is a delay on Octavias ordered with DSG boxes and or sunroofs as demand has outstripped supply how true I dont know!

There was a delay a couple of weeks ago on Octavia Elegance models, as there was a shortage of Bolero radio units available, I am not sure if this situation is continuing or supply has been restored.

Mmmm.. Well I've not ordered a Sunroof or DSG. My Scout will however have a Bolero I think...

My, on order, vRS has DSG, sunroof and Bolero. Looks like I will have to nurse the mondy through til christmas!!!

Im the same , nursing a Mondy is a very delecate and fragile procedure. I have managed 11 weeks so far so hopefully the Mondy can hold out a couple more!!

Well I've just been reading the ESP thread and I'm not really happy that my new Scout may have a defective module that costs me over a grand after 3 years. Also not happy about the way Skoda are treating their customers.

I'm even considering letting the Scout go and getting something else. The plan was to keep the next car for more than 3 years and it looks like if I do this unit WILL fail.

Ordered a vRS Octy Estate DSG this afternoon! Hoping for 12 weeks, but dealer said there is a 2 week break on the Octavia assembly line in July, so it will depend on whether it is built before then!

Fingers crossed, but very excited, and not hugely worried whether 12 weeks or a little more.

The longer they take, the more miles I'll put on the Golf I'm trading in - so their loss if there is a delay!

Hi dunc were you quoted 12wks by the dealer? Mine said approx 16 wks when I ordered at the beginning of April. 12 would be great only 8 more to wait  (Not holding breath though)

Yes, he said it should be 12 weeks or possibly slightly longer. He was confident the car would be built and on its way before the July factory closure. He did say he'd call me regularly to update me with the progress of the build & delivery. We'll see. Fingers crossed.

Good luck with yours!

2 dealers I spoke to reckoned I wouldn't get the VRS before September! Oh well, at least get the new 60 plate then........

I ordered my vRS on 19th April and have been given a build week of 31 (first week in August), so that's a 15 week build period.

By the time it arrives at the showroom, it'll be closer to the end of August, so the dealer has already said they will keep it for the short period up to Sept 1st and register it as a new 60 plate.
