I seem to be following you 2 around the forum! I have emailed my dealer yesterday morning and not yet had a response, so without wanting to sound like a 'nagging customer' it may be time to give them a call and a gentle poke.

Saying that, i havent got my V5C for my current car back from the DVLA nor have i got my retention certificate after sending off for cherished plate transfer :( Hopefully both the car and the documents will come next week

MMMM,

We ordered ours on April 2nd and have week 25 build date along with Mid July collection

ACSC:(

Mate, get on the phone and nag at them. I did :giggle:

Im sure it will all fall into place and everything will arrive all at once.

we ordered a new vrs at begining of this month told week 31 build so expecting delivery september ......

Update: it has been built, left the factory and is currently sat waiting to be loaded on to the ship to come across to blighty. It will then dock in the tyne dock in Newcastle and then be loaded on to a transporter and delivered to the dealer - taking approximately two and half weeks from now

Edit: Also received all paperwork for plate transfer from the DVLA so happy days

I was told today mine has been built and is awaiting transport. Unfortunately it now means i'm spending every waking hour watching marinetraffic.com to see if any ships are heading into sheerness from emden

Haha you have now potentially ruined my life until i get the call to say it has arrived. I see Neckar Highway is approaching Emden from Grimsby, maybe going for a return with your car? Cant see anything for Tyne tho

well the last ship sailed out of sheerness 2 days ago. I don't know how regular the sailings to sheerness are.

Luckily as I've bought from a small dealership I'd imagine that the car will be PDI'd very quickly and I'll get my grubby mitts on it very soon

I fear I may learn to hate you people, my vRS is also in Emden awaiting that ship to Blighty.

Consequently I am also staring at an ocean fully of coloured arrows - the slowest to refresh page I've ever come across!

For ships to the Tyne, keep an eye out for the "City of XXXX" ones, not the "XXXX Highway" ones. They use the same Vessels as Nissan do for exports so the ships arrive at the VW Distribution Centre at North Shields, unload, then hop across the Tyne to South Shiels to be loaded with Nissans then off to European/Scandanavian ports. When I was tracking my Scout about 4 weeks ago it was "released for shipping" on April 21st but then had to wait for the 3rd ship to the Tyne, leaving Emden on May 4th on board City of Barcelona. The other ships I tracked during this time were City of Rome and City of Sunderland.

How do you find out what ship your car is on??

It appears Skoda needed to clarify what they meant by "awaiting transport" I've just been told my car is due at the EMDEN today or tomorrow so right now it must be on the train

On friday I had a call from my dealer to say my car was born on the 25th and was currently sat at EMDEN awaiting her ferry. I've just checked marinetraffic.com to find that the THAMES HIGHWAY is heading out into the north sea from EMDEN bound for SHEERNESS. with any luck my vRS is onboard and will be mine by the end of the week
