vrs bumper misalignment

Featured Replies

all of a sudden my drivers side rear bumper is misaligned where it meets the wheel arch of the body

Anyone else had this- just wondering how it happened and how to correct it

It would seem the tyre may have made contact with the wheel arch lip and pushed the plastic out of alignment- I can press it flush with the body but it just springs back

Did somebody by chance back into your car when parking? This has happened me on a couple of my cars giving the result you are showing

Now you mention it my wife drove the car so I'm sure some parking shenanigens may have gone on

Is it simply a matter of loosening the screws behind the wheelarches and realigning?

Could just be my untrained eye, could be the light in the photo but i dont think its the bumper, its the metal panel has a small / sharp radius bend at the end. Someone's slowly reversed into you or something.

Should be very easy to repair (paintless) but for a perfect finish might be worth paying the £40 for a dent repair specialist to come out -- to minutes with the right head on one of those extending ram things they use will press that right back to where it should be.

someone's bumped you i'm afraid.

Looks like the panel, not the bumper, to me too.

Yeah, I'd say someone's driven into that.

I'd have to agree with everyone else and say that it is the wheel arch panel that has been pushed rather than the bumper. Looking at the way the light dims and the line of the wheel arch turns at the same point then wheel arch pushed in I'm afraid.
