first two faults

Featured Replies

Hi,

Two weeks into ownership [ vrs disel estate] and the first two faults have appeared. Slight buzzing coming from passenger side air vent and rear parking sensors telling me theres something behind me when there isnt. Is going back to the dealers next week for a towbar to be fitted so hopefully they can sort it. Apart from that the car is absolutely fantastic

Did the sensors play up during/after rain?

Mine work perfectly when the weather is scorching hot and dry, but stop as soon as it gets cold or wet. Too lazy to pull the bumper off to check them though, the fault appears to alternate between the two left sensors - The warning beep to indicate the malfunction is the only thing that annoys me, though it's nothing like as annoying as the seatbelt beeper ringing while the glo plugs are on before the engine is even running...

Yes, had been raining overnight and this morning.

This will sound like advising on how to suck eggs. But you have wiped clean your sensors?

I had this issue found some bird pooop on one and it was the cause of the noise hehe so maybe worth giving them a wipe over

Seem to be working now so guess it was either water or muck on a sensor
