So i am thinking of changing my current car for a 2006 Octavia VRS and just had a couple of questions before i do. Any advice would be appreciated.

I just wanted to ask if there were any common issues with this car that i should look out for? Also i have a double din headunit that i'd want to transfer from my current car to the new one, would there be any functionality loss when doing this?

Common ones.

The ABS module if the car has ESP, is prone to failure.

Rear screen wash pipe leak.

Airbag wiring loom under seats can come loose if seat pushed too hard back.

As for the stereo, depends on what you have and what you want ot put in.

Does the car have Satnav, Maxidot, Steering controls, etc? You would possibly lose all 3 of those unless the stereo you want to fit supports them or has an adapter to support them.

Does the new stereo support CANbus?

If its an aftermarket unit, you would prob need to run a ignition live to the stereo as the Octy 2 doesnt have one.
