Completely Confused

Featured Replies

After having a Superb with a great sound system as standard, I now have an Octy 2 with Stream which sounds very poor, no mid range, looked at the new sat nav system - too expensive so bought a Sony CDX-M9900.

Looks great, fitted all in fine, ran an ipod cable to the small cubby hole near the heating vents - So far so good.

Blew the fuse, took me half an hour to realise it was under the bonnet!

Problem is it won't turn off, I have swapped the Live and switch live (ignition) but still no joy, remove key - STILL ON?

Also have put in a powered antenna adapter - still poor reception, is the octy 2 still powered through the antenna or is the blue wire to go somewhere else on this car?

Any ideas? never seen this before.

Thanks

Phil

Have you ran a seperate switched live from the fuse panel?

No, usually there is one in place already, do I need to run another? I was thinking yellow & red one must be ignition and one permanent?

By deafault the octy 2 doesnt have a switched live, the factory stereo receives the on/off signal from the CAN.

I (and many others) had this query, a solution is to run a switched live from the fuse panel.

Im sure there are threads and how to's. in the octy 2 section
