Car for blind drivers?

Featured Replies

US Scientists and the National Federation of the Blind are developing a car for the blind and will present a prototype next year

Good Idea?

Makes me wonder how succesful it would be avoiding accidents, e.g. kids running into road, etc. Werent they also making a SUV in the states that could drive itself? Like the BMW on Top Gear, but with cameras, sensors, etc, not just relying on GPS

Person with no sight in control of something which requires sight to operate safely == bad idea.

Yes the computer might do a lot, but what about other drivers having to react to that car or if the computer fails.
