Hi guys.

I'm in the process of looking for a new car, and the vRS seems to tick all the boxes (well, apart from seat colours lol).

I currently drive a clio 172 which I love to bits, but commitments mean its guna have to go soon and be replaced with something slightly larger, cheaper to run/insure etc.

I'm after a bit of...guidance on the re-mapping side of things. Is there a section / thread on here that talks about the different options etc?

If you're going to remap, I wouldn't bet on the insurance being cheaper! I don't think there's a section as such, but there are plenty of threads looking at tuning boxes (analogue and digital) and remaps, so have a quick tootle on the Search button.

Welcome to Briskoda. Depending on whether you're going for a Mk1 VRS or a Mk2 VRS have a look in the Octy I or Octy II forums and ask some questions re. the remap.

With practically all insurers remaps increase your premium but some insurance companies do it by a set figure (as long as you don't go over a certain power level) and some do it depending on the % increase in bhp.
