Just saying hello, i recentley baught a Rally red Octavia VRS and i am loveing it!! they are such nice cars to drive i am very chuffed that i went for one,

I am hopeing to go for a remap was wondering which is the best to go for? also was thinking along the lines of getting a miltek exhaust system fitted is this the best system to go for?

You'll get plenty of opinions here about remap and exhaust options, but there isn't really any one BEST option. In general, people will recommend what's on their own cars (if there happy with it, and most are), but spend some time going through the forums, it’s all been discussed hundreds of times.

My opinion though....

Exhaust...yes, if I was going for one it'd be a Milltek. Purely because I used to have one on my Fabia vRS and I felt it worked well with the upgraded intake and remap to make the car a bit stronger. It wasn't ridiculously loud, it just gave a nicer sporty note looked good and was a decent price. If you go for one though, I'd save up and get the full turbo back system. Just replacing from the Cat back doesn't make much difference, because the cat is the most restrictive part.

People will say you get what you pay for, and generally speaking, the big companies like Revo will always get a lot of recommendations. They do seem a tad pricey though. You'd have to think about how far you want to travel as well. Shark are the most popular on here, and will send you a tuning unit to do it yourself for a bit extra. Angel Tuning are also quite popular. They started off as Italian car enthusiasts, but the majority of their work is now VAG group remaps. They will travel to you and the price isn't too bad.

Hello and welcome, is it a mk1 or 2 that you have as that will make a big difference to the answers that you get.

Sorry its a mk1 Octavia, thanks for the advice mate i shall have a hunt around the forum and find some useful info on remaps and exhaust systems.
