MK2 Octy Speakers

Featured Replies

Aftrernoon all.

I'm wanting to upgrade the rubbish speakers in the doors of my MK2 VRS Hatch.

Without taking off the door panels. Does anyone know the size of the speakers i need to get as direct replacements without the hasle of cutting/chopping etc...

No doubt folk will have changed there's...

Also, how can i get to listen to my Ipod... What do i need to connect to the stereo and is it easy..

Thanks

Simboy

Just as a thought, are you going to use upgraded speakers with the factory stereo? It's just that I found the speaker performance and output quality increased noticeably when I swapped the Stream for a Bolero when I had my Mk2 vRS.

It's the sound processing in the Stream that's sub-standard, not the speakers IMO.

For the iPod control on the std stereo, you could use a Dension IceLink or Gateway to do this.

Cheers,

Cheers. I want to upgrade to better speakers and maybe get rid of the skoda head unit

That's standard fit on a 06VRS.

I think the head unit in my car is a stream.

These iPod kits, I take it they r pretty straight forward to fit.
