Superb II Columbus Sat Nav/Bluetooth prep

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I have a Superb "59" plate Greenline with the Columbus Sat-Nav & Bluetooth prep & multi-control steering wheel. I used to have a Nokia 6730c mobile & it worked perfectly in the car & the sync worked a dream. I have now upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy S ("IPhone killer") & I am now having a few niggles. I had this instead of the IPhone as I understand that the phone needs to support rSAP. The phone connects with no problem, but I have realised that only 115 out of 155 contacts are copied across to the Skoda? I have moved all contacts to the phone & then tried moving the all the contacts to the simm, but still the same. I have disconnected the phone & tried again, updated the phone book manually from the steering wheel, deleted the phone book & added again. When I do make a call everything is great - reception is clear & I have no complaints.

Also in the settings of the Phone on the Skoda there is something about GPRS - any ideas what is this for? When I try to run google maps (just to see how the Street View looked) on the Samsung it says "data connection lost" and I think that the rSAP disconnects this so I wasn't sure if this GPRS setting was for this?

Tried the Bluetooth to send a music track, but this failed but I can live with this!!

Skoda Superb is a great car - really pleased with my choice and I was getting about 70.1mpg on the 2 hour motorway trip to Leeds the other day!

Any ideas out there???
