Help me spend some money on tunning

Featured Replies

Hello fellow drivers,

In a month or so i will go for a trip in Europe and in UK, so I would like to use this trip in UK to do some tunning and upgrades.

1. Sharks Stage-1, I have already sorted that to be done as STS didn't work on encrypted ECU, so this will be first.

2. What's the story with Decat or sport exaust? Do these help and how much? Would the noise be too much? I love the quiet nature of this engine.

3. Brakes, i would love bigger ones but would be afraid that i couldn't fit 16" snow rims then, so last option would be maybe better calipers on standard disks? Car is heavy at 1,645kg net weight so brakes seem a bit soft when loaded.

4. Intercooler/fuel pump would these help? Or maybe this opens the door for stage-2 remaps?

5. Any company in/near SouthEast can do boot lining with noise reduction stuff and tint the windows?

Don't want to go racing or hard driving, but since here we do not have any motorways, all roads are dual carriageways, so any trip means lots of overtaking, so torque is more important then top speed or 0-60 stuff.

Any websites or company details would also help, as i would have to go to them to fit these options, so no DIY possible.

And if anyone has done or knows any other options that might not break the bank but give good reliable performance, please suggest.

Thanks all and keep it up

Intercooler and sports exhaust are laying a base for future work. Diesels tend to have quiet exhausts anyway; I've driven several with broken standard systems, and the most obvious sound unless the pipe was lying on a piece of the chassis was the clanging of exhaust peices against each other or the ground.

Thanks mate.

Anyone knows a good company who can fit the sport exhaust?

Cheers.
