BOLERO RADIO/ PARKING SENSORS/AIR CON

Featured Replies

JUST CHANGED MY stream head unit witch when the car was put into reverse a pic come up on the head unit. also the temp setting came up for the climate controll . doesent seam to do this on the bolero head unit,

i thoughtb it would being a better head unit????????

It is a better headunit.

But for those former features to work, you'd have to install updated controllers for each.

The sensors you can hear, and the climate control has its own displays. So do you actually require duplication on the headunit's screen?

For sensors you need a new parking ECU and need to add some wires from it upto the CAN gateway.

For the climate I think you'd need to retrofit the newer style control panel, not 100% plug and play though.

Not worth the effort IMHO.

Hi All,

New to the site, but this is an issue I have been wondering about. I have a non-mp3 Stream (05 Octavia 2.0TDI Estate) and have been thinking about changing to an aftermarket double din unit with direct ipod and blue tooth controls for mobiles built in. What will the functionality of the reverse sensors be afterwards. Is the audible bleep dependent on an interface with the stereo. I'm not too worried about losing the display but would like to keep the beep.

Alternatively, has anyone fitted a Parrot MK19200 at all. This looks to be a good solution, but I'd be interested to hear any feedback/experience.

Cheers,

Diggers

You'll still get the audible bleeps. They're not dependant on the headunit.
