Columbus Issues - Please Help!

Featured Replies

Sorry if any of this has been covered before but i'm posting this at work and don't have time to do a proper search!!!

I have a 2008 '58' Superb Elegance with the Columbus and in-built Bluetooth system. I have recently changed mobile phones from a Nokia E71 to a Samsung Galaxy S. I did some research before deciding on the Galaxy as I wanted my new handset to pair with the hands-free kit. I tested the phone before I handed over any money and we managed to get the phone to pair ok (after some persuasion) although it was a demo set - not the handset I now have. I am now having some issues getting the phone to connect and I need some assistance:-

1) When I initially turn the ignition on the system attempts to connect to the 2 previous phones not my current phone. Is it possible to remove the previous phones from the Columbus?? If so, how??

2) When I do get the new phone to pair the Columbus shows 'No Network' even though the phone still shows full signal strength. With the E71 the phone would show no signal as the Columbus had taken over the controls. Is this a handset issue or Columbus issue??

Many thanks in advance!!!!!

Anyone?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Hi,

I can at least try to answer the first one:

You need to pair a phone, then through the maxidot phone menu go to 'Paired Devices' and delete the others as needed.

sorry, can't comment on the second one, might be some sort of r-Sap funkiness going on?

Phil
