I'm fitting a carPC, and need an ignition on wire to turn it on/off. The problem is the ignition on behind the stereo is canbus controlled so doesnt work turning the carPC on/on!

Without spending £20 on an adapter, can anyone else think of a way around it? Is there a fuse i can buy/use from the fuse box that will give me the 12v on/off with the car that i need?

Yes, you can just use one of the spare fuse slots in the main fusebox. Some are perm. live and others are ign. live, check with a multimeter.

you can get piggyback fuses, basically its a fuse with an additional live wire, as above look on the fuse board with a multimeter, another source that works for some cars is the cigarate lighter

Most of the fuses down the left hand side of the fuse box as you look at it are ignition live.
