Dont know what to keep

Featured Replies

Hi, I currently have 2 cars both almost fully fixed and working now. I had a Audi originally but as it was stolen bought a VRS.

Car 1:

A3 51 Plate 5 DR 1.8 SE (LPG)

89K, seude seats, very comfy inside. Been very reliable, never had one engine problem or anything else go wrong with it. Had it for 18 months.

The driver side door was damaged when stolen, i hit a bump recently and airbags/subframe was damaged. And the clutch is not perfect but I cant see it going straightaway... (it will though sooner or later).

Car 2:

VRS 02 Plate Hatch (LPG)

79k, good condition overall. Since I've bought it, it suffered from the oil sludge problem which made me change the following:

oil pump

recon turbo

oil gasket by turbo (cost a couple of quid for the part but big job)

ive also had to fix the starter motor and change a clutch (dmf was ok so didnt change that). A broken link arm.

It should be ok now as its had ALOT of things changed and serviced, and money has been spent on it.

I can sell car 1 for around £1500, car 2 for around £2600.

I have alot of love for the audi as its took me everywhere, never let me down, been abused but survived and just been there when I needed it.

The skoda is the total opposite but I hope that will change now.

I was contemplating about selling them both and buying a nice BMW 330 but id have to spend about £1000 more and that I dont have.

If I do sell them both id have max £3600-3700 to sell, what can that buy me?

I like sporty looking, sexy cars. Nippy is good but not really looking for impreza like performance, just something that moved and feels good. And I like a nice interior, reliability is a must with any car.

What you reckon guys?

how about.....

1st, selling the audi for some cash,

2nd, giving me the vRS + £1900 cash for my GPS (see link in sig to for sale/swop thread) !
