SECONDARY AIR PUMP PROBLEM!

Featured Replies

hi can anyone help?? for just over a week my sec air pump has not been working at all.. all seemed to stop when i had temp problems which now i had replaced themostat and temp sensor and gauge is working fine again.

just seem funny to stop when having these problems!! have taken pump off car and motor spins over fine on 12v but will not work on car any ideas????

Damage or dirt in the multiplug to the pump, or damage to the section of engine bay loom that goes down to the pump.

When you change the thermostat you're working a few inches above the pump so it's possible you might have nicked a wire with the tools you were using?

na as pump has not been working for over a week and only changed thermostat yesterday all wires and plug look ok!! its a strange one.

The temp sensor has two halves and If the ECU side of the sensor thinks the engine is warm, then the SAI will not run. I would check the temp sensor connections.

Did you get a genuine replacement for the temp sensor?
