Hi All,

I recently got a Skoda Fabia 1.2 classic estate and i have to say it has been a struggle so far(just wondering did i make a wrong choice) .

On the first day itself the engine management warning light came up, went to Jewsons Skoda Oxford and it turned to be a EGR valve problem.

The dealer from whom i bought the car paid for it to be replaced (£335 ) and after a day the light came back up and when i went to the Jewsons Skoda they said it is expected and booked an appointment and reset it.

After exactly 2 days it has come up again, i have booked an appointment and they said i need to leave the vehicle for 2 days.

I am sooo tired in trying to resolve this issue.

Surprisingly I am not noticing any problems while driving the car, it is smooth and drives well.

I am not sure what is the MPG expected, but it is averaging around 40 miles.

Hopefully they will resolve this issue without charging me anything more, it has been paid already and it did not fix the problem after what they diagnosed and fixed.

This is first time i have bought the skoda and hopefully it will not bring down my expectations.

Any advice is greatly appreciated guys..

Thanks

Cheers

Nithin

Welcome. Sorry to hear you are having problems with your car. I am however a bit surprised that you are wondering about blaming Skoda for a problem on a five year old second hand car. Problems with a five year old car are down to the dealer who sold it to you and not to Skoda, so I suggest that is who you should consider blaming, if anyone. I hope your problem is sorted out quickly.

Hi and welcome aboard.
