Yes-I specced them on my last car, an '08 Corrida Red vRS Combi. The dealer didn't even know they were available & had to check with Skoda Irl! lol. They are matt or "brushed" silver-not shiny chrome. Don't have pictures tho', sorry.

I have silver rails, they look really nice and are matt as stated above. I have no pictures either.. They are painted which you should be aware of, it is not a brushed alloy.

Can I just say it's bloomin cold this morning in my Jimmy's lol

As you can see, they are a 'Satin look' and while not quite as luxurious as the 'Audi' version the are still a good upgrade in my opinion!

ps. Forgive the photography as it was a very hurried picture taking!

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

thats cold.....

appreciate the pics they look nice

thankyou people

prefer the black on mine tbh, but each to his/her own.

there is lots of plastic on the car that is a matt black (mirror bases, grilles etc) so black rails fit nicely - there is no other satin silver anywhere on the car..

you might have a point there mate,,

post some pics of your car sounds nice

Hi

Just wondered if any one has had the roof bars colour coded. Any pics would be appriciated.

As the handles and rubbing strips have been done by the factory I wondered if would look good or not.

I'd be worried about scratching when I put the roof bars on and off.. the advantage of the unpainted bars is you don't have to worry about bashing them. For me it fits 100% with the "utilitarian" feel and ethos of the skoda to have them unpainted.

When you start trading functionality for looks its a slippery slope - you'll be buying a bmw next lol..!

looks great . you cant beat that candy white . loving the wheels too

Most of the roof bars I have had come with a rubber insert and I have not scratched the OEM bars. So why would you scratch them?

I was thinking of looks.

Have to admit your motor is absolute quality! Very nicely done indeed!

Silver rails on mine match the wheels perfectly and for me give it an 'up market' feel.

defo get the silver bars (especially with a silver car)

black just looks cheap...

Hey-I wonder if chrome roof rails from a Passat/A4/Exeo/Golf estate would match the Octy mounting points? Just a thought.........anyone done it??! May be a totally different design-the thought has only just entered my head!!

  • 5 years later...

Thinking of going silver on mine, I wonder if it's possible to get them wrapped?
