Aftermarket stereo - same connections?

Featured Replies

Hi guys, got my octavia yesterday, and came to fit my own Alpine stereo today - it has ipod and bluetooth connectivity, so prefere it.

Fitted it this morning, came on fine, but no sound at all!

I've noticed a few ISO adapters on ebay, so does the octavia need one for a aftermarket stereo to work?

Cheers in advance!

Anyone?

Yes you'll need an adapter. The standard Octy connections are not ISO, it use the quadlock (like most of the VW group)

Yep, as said - ISO>Quadlock adaptor required. What did you have it fitted to before, or is the Alpine new?

Thanks guys, i've got the standard one at the moment, with the 6 cd changer in the boot. Its okay, but as said, i like the iphone connectivity of my alpine (no CD's!)
